I could do with a £20 deposit before the end of term from all those still planning to go (at the general meeting on Tuesday would be ideal), so I can book accommodation over the holiday (will need money for a deposit on booking). We can discuss the plans at present for the expedition after the Tuesday meeting.

As I have no deposits there are plenty of spaces. I am quite busy at the moment, but if people could write a cheque to J.Morris for £20 and put it in the gliding club pidgeon hole (upstairs in the Union in the corridor outside the AU office) in a named envelope with email address. Alternatively people can Paypal the money if you PM me.

The place I have booked is here: http://www.bowleysfarm.co.uk/

It's about 10-15mins drive from the airfield, and is £350 for the week (3rd to 11th April, so we have the option to stay the Saturday night). I therefore need an extra £38.35 from each of you to settle the rent.

We now need to start discussing transport - I will be driving, but if I am towing I would prefer to only take one other person with me to keep the weight down.

If you load up google maps and type in Scottish Gliding Centre, you can drag the stree-view icon to the end of the road next to the clubhouse and have a look around.

Jon,

Couple of things. What time do I need to be at Wittering on Friday and will it be a problem driving across during RAF operations? Also, i forgot to mention to you on sunday that Colin asked that we would bring our club logger along with us. I assume we already were but i guess a reminder can't hurt.

Further to Conor's question, what time do I need to be at the Union for on Friday?  Also, on the way back at the end of the week my family are holidaying in Bamburgh on the Northumbrian coast.  If possible would one of the cars on the way back be able to drop me off at Alnwick so that I can wait for them to get there (they are coming up on the Saturday we are comng back).  The Alnwick Garden car park is literally only 2 minutes from the A1.

0900 Chris. Conor, the logger etc. are coming (need 9V battery for the logger). I may be able to pick you up - won't know 'til I've packed my things in the car. Friday is a bank holiday - the MOD is only open during office hours.
