I thought I'd start this topic so that over the coming year we can record peoples achievements in the club so that everyone knows what people are up to.

I think we should start with congratulations to Conor Hickey on re-soloing at the weekend after a few years away from gliding. Well done Conor and we look forward to seeing plenty of people going solo and getting badges this year.

Congratulations to Chris Phillips for his first solo flight today, and to Connor Hickey for converting to the K13.

Congratulations to Conor Hickey for getting both his 30 minute flights this weekend to count towards his bronze award, one of which was over an hour and will count towards his cross country endorsement as well. Also well done to Colin Warburton for one of his required 30 minute flights which was just 3 minutes short of the 1 hour mark. Next time Colin! Well done to both of you and to everyone else who made excellent progress this weekend.

I wasn't there this weekend but I heard that Colin Warburton converted to the K-13 so well done to him. More free flying for him.

thought wed better have a bit of an update of recent achievements.

Conor Hickey (again) - bronze and converted to k-18
Fergus Caroll - re-soloed after almost a year off.
Callum Harkness - converted to k-18
me - converted to k-18

Quite a few people very close to solo now which is really good to see.

Callum, Matt, Jon and myself have got our places for the junior national championships in august. if anybody wants to check our progress throughout the week then we will put the website address on here when its up and running.
